Ticket Refunds, Exchanges and Right of Refusal
Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre abides by the Live Performance Australia, Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia. Tickets for a future performance can usually be exchanged for another performance of that show, subject to availability and payment of any ticket price difference. Management has the right to refuse any ticket exchanges. Refunds are generally not available except under exceptional circumstances outlined in the Live Performance Australia Code of Practice for Ticketing.
Ticketing Fees & Charges
From July 1, 2012 all website and phone bookings incur a transaction fee of $4.40. This charge is non-refundable in the event a refund meets the requirements outlined above. Box office counter bookings do not incur a transaction fee. Exchange of tickets for the same event or event season incur a $3.00 charge per ticket.
Discounts
Babes in arms
Babies are not generally admitted into shows other than those targeted at Children 2-8 yrs. In this case, kids under 2 and with an adult will be admitted for free in most cases accordingly.
Children
We love kids here at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. So any child aged from 2-12 is entitled to our kid’s discounts, where applicable.
Students
If you’re currently studying full time and older than 12yrs you’re entitled to our student discount rate. Just remember, the Box Office will ask for proof of full time study. From time to time, we have other special deals for students so keep a look out for advertising or ask at the Box Office for more details.
Pensioner Concession and Senior’s Card holders
We have a discount for our senior friends as well. Just remember the Box Office will ask to see your concession cards at time of booking or at the door.
Rights of Entry
Latecomers
If you arrive late, and the show has already started, there is every chance, depending on the show, that you will be refused entry or you might not be able to go in until there is a break in the programme like intermission.
Cameras and Recording Equipment
Digital cameras and recording equipment are not permitted during performances.
Mobile Phones
As a consideration to other patrons, please switch mobile phones and pagers off during performances.
Standing in Seats
Anyone who has purchased a seat should be considerate of other people, so please don’t stand in your seat, because the person behind you can’t see. If you continue to stand up after you have been asked to sit, you may be asked to leave the theatre by security.
Zero Tolerance
Be responsible and we can all have fun. The Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre has a zero tolerance when it comes to the use of drugs and the abuse of alcohol. Anyone who we believe is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be asked to leave the Centre or be subject to police action.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the SEC.
Dress Code
Remember… be cool but be tidy. Anyone who visits the SEC dressed in bare feet, dirty clothes, inappropriate or offensive clothing or t-shirts will not be let in. We also can’t let you wear fashion hats, hoods, caps or headgear (excluding religious garments) into our theatres.
