Following on from the success of Fiddler on the Roof in 2009, the Albatross Musical Theatre Company (AMTC) presents Lerner & Loewe’s popular musical My Fair Lady.
AMTC has been producing musicals and entertaining the Shoalhaven for over 30 years.
Local actors Laura Oliver-Graham and Pat Powell lead a strong cast who along a talented orchestra bring the much-loved characters to life. Eliza Doolittle is a cockney flower girl from Lisson Grove who sells flowers outside Covent Garden. Her potential to become a ‘lady’ becomes the subject of a bet between Henry Higgins, a world famous phonetics expert, and Colonel Pickering, a retired British officer and author. The musical explores the efforts and outcomes of the transformation from ‘flowergirl’ to ‘Lady’.
Under the guidance of Director/Producer John Bryant, Musical Directors Margaret Bowcher and Merrin Ross and Choreographer Nirvana James, this show is not to be missed.
