Talk Soon. Talk Often.

Ever had a young person ask you a curly question about sex and you didn’t know how to answer?

Have you ever wondered how sex has become so complicated?

Do you want up to date information and support to address those tricky teen concerns?

Then this is for you!

Sometimes parents and carers can be so concerned about getting it right , perfectly right, that they end up saying nothing at all. Young people in today’s society are having to navigate and negotiate a lot more around sex than ever before.

Talk soon. Talk often.’ is information evening with Naomi Viret (Sexual Health Education Officer from the HIV & Related Programs - HARP) Unit and Noeline Bedford (Clinical Nurse Specialist, from the Illawarra Shoalhaven Sexual Health Service).

The evening is an invitation to open(and leave open) the conversation for parents and carers to talk young people aged 13 and upwards about sex and sexuality. The information covered will be about healthy relationships, consent and an update on Sexually Transmissable Infection (STIs) and services available in our region.

Refreshments will be provided at the end of the session with an opportunity to talk to the presenters and to collect free supportive resources.
