Albatross Musical Theatre Company presents

The Last Five Years

A Musical Fundraising Event

Fri 22 to Sat 23 January 2021 | 1pm & 7pm

AMTC’s The Last Five Years is an intimate musical experience featuring only two cast members and a small live chamber orchestra, presented in the Nowra School of Arts.

The amazing vocal talents of local performers Jane McIntosh and Nathan Lomas feature in this modern musical which ingeniously moves both forward and backward in time. We watch characters Cathy and Jamie fall in and out of love right before our eyes.

The story is told alternately from each perspective; Jamie tells his version chronologically, whereas Cathy begins with the hurt of their breakup and works backward to the elation of their beginnings.

This is a musical unlike any other you've seen in Nowra! The cleverness of the writing will have you switching allegiances each and every song: Cathy or Jamie, whose side will you take in the end?

This production also doubles as a special fundraising event - featuring a silent auction and raffles. Patrons will be seated at cabaret tables with food and drink options to purchase while enjoying the much-awaited return of live musical theatre in the Shoalhaven.
