Amelia Ryan & Libby O’Donovan

Friday 9 September | 2pm & 8pm

Celebrating the pioneering women of Aussie pop & rock

On a hot summer’s day in 1965, Merle Thornton and Rosalie Bogner walked into the public bar of the Regatta Hotel, calmly chained themselves to the bar rail, and ordered a beer. What happened next changed the path of the women’s fight for equality, and the course of Australian music history.

Join award-winning, powerhouse duo Amelia Ryan and Libby O’Donovan for a rollicking, raucous celebration of songs and stories from 1960s Australia. Hear music from Lynne Randell, Little Patti, Judy Stone, Marcie Jones, Margret Roadknight, and more, in an uplifting and nostalgic production that pays homage to the incredible women who blazed the trails for generations to come.

Brimming with heart and hilarity, don’t miss this loud and proud celebration of the original Australian pop and rock divas.
